The real-world development is that Alexander De Jordy had other gigs and was unavailable for Season 3, so he was written off. If there were personal or creative differences that contributed to the decision, they haven't been publicized. Something happened with Devon’s actor Alexander De Jordy, either he simply went on to other things or him and Keeso had some sort of issues. Wayne and Devon were also Officer Cartier and officer Dulac on the show 19-2 which filled between seasons of letterkenny (or vice versa). The end of 19-2 and the end of Devon on letterkenny are both in 2017.
